Role Overview:


This pivotal role invites a newly qualified Chartered Accountant to join a leading Big 4 firm's Statutory Audit practice. The individual will be instrumental in conducting comprehensive financial statement audits for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accounting principles.


Working closely with experienced audit teams, managers, and partners, this position offers a unique opportunity to gain deep insights into complex business operations, identify critical financial risks, and contribute to the integrity and transparency of financial reporting. The impact of this role is significant, as it directly supports client confidence, regulatory compliance, and the firm's reputation for delivering high-quality assurance services.


Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed statutory audits of financial statements for clients across diverse sectors, ensuring adherence to Indian GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards to provide reliable assurance on financial health.

- Execute audit procedures, including planning, risk assessment, substantive testing, and analytical reviews, to identify potential misstatements and assess the effectiveness of internal controls.


- Prepare comprehensive audit documentation, working papers, and reports that clearly articulate audit findings, recommendations, and conclusions for review by senior team members and partners.

- Collaborate effectively with client finance teams, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather necessary information, resolve audit queries, and manage engagement timelines efficiently.


Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated proficiency in Statutory Audit principles and practices, coupled with a strong understanding of Financial Reporting standards including Indian GAAP and IFRS.

- Possesses a Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification, ideally with 1-4 years of relevant experience gained during articleship or post-qualification in a Big 4 or equivalent reputable firm.
