Role Overview:

The Statutory Audit role is a senior-level position designed for seasoned finance professionals who will lead complex audit engagements for clients within the financial services and investment management sectors. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, fund managers, and internal audit teams to ensure rigorous compliance with GAAP and regulatory frameworks. By overseeing the end-to-end audit lifecycle, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, mitigating operational risks, and providing strategic assurance that supports the informed decision-making processes of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead comprehensive statutory audit engagements for clients in the asset management, hedge fund, and private equity sectors to ensure adherence to global accounting standards.

- Manage complex audit workflows, including planning, fieldwork, and final reporting, to provide high-quality assurance services to diverse stakeholders.

- Evaluate internal controls and financial reporting processes within mutual fund operations and real estate investment portfolios to identify and mitigate systemic risks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex accounting issues and provide technical guidance on GAAP compliance.

- Oversee the delivery of audit findings to senior management, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met with precision and transparency.

- Mentor and guide junior audit staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional development within the engagement team.

Required Skillset:

- Possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 2 to 15 years of progressive experience in statutory audit and assurance.

- Demonstrate deep technical expertise in GAAP, with a specialized focus on asset management, hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity.

- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights for real estate and investment consulting clients.

- Communicate effectively with C-suite stakeholders and external partners, translating complex audit findings into clear, strategic business language.

- Demonstrate the ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and accuracy under strict reporting deadlines.

- Adapt seamlessly to the operational requirements of the role, whether working from our Bangalore, Cochin, or Kolkata offices, while maintaining high standards of professional integrity and client service.
