Statutory Audit Manager - Banking - CA

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant with a strong background in banking audits, GL reconciliation, and account management controls. The ideal candidate should have experience in bank statutory audits, concurrent audits, or bank inspection, with expertise in GL and suspense account reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and rationalise nominal, office, and general ledger (GL) accounts across the bank.

- Identify redundant accounts, discrepancies, and long-outstanding entries.

- Design and implement same-day reconciliation controls and monitoring mechanisms.

- Develop surveillance reports to track outstanding entries and ensure timely resolution.

- Address and close RBI inspection observations related to account hygiene and reconciliation.

- Maintain proper documentation and audit evidence for regulatory compliance.

- Strengthen internal controls and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve reconciliation issues.
