State Head - Education

Looking for a State Head to lead our programs in Chhattisgarh. This is a leadership role that involves working closely with teacher-education institutions, government stakeholders, and partners to scale impactful education initiatives across the state.

Key Responsibilities

Program Strategy & Leadership

- Lead implementation of education programs across the state with clear direction, planning, and targets.

- Develop annual work plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Stakeholder & Government Engagement

- Collaborate with SCERT, DIETs, PSTEIs, and Samagra Shiksha to strengthen teacher education & data-driven practices.

- Represent programs at state forums, government reviews, and education events.

Program Operations & Quality Delivery

- Oversee workshops, training programs, and interventions for teachers and future teachers.

- Ensure quality implementation and monitor program performance across districts.

Team Management & Capacity Building

- Lead and mentor the state project team, ensuring accountability and ownership.

- Build team capacity in academic facilitation, government engagement, and project management.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

- Track program outcomes and prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.

- Use insights to refine strategies and support education reforms.

Finance & Compliance

- Manage state budgets, ensure resource optimization, and oversee compliance with organizational and statutory norms.

Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement

- Build collaborations with NGOs, academic institutions, and CSR partners to strengthen scale and innovation.

- Network with thought leaders to position the program as a key contributor in state-level reforms.

What Were Looking For

- Master's or Bachelor's in any related field.

- 10+ years of experience, with 3-5 years in education/teacher training/development sector.

- Strong background in program management, stakeholder engagement, and government liaison.

- Deep knowledge of teacher education systems, policies, and challenges
