Should have a clear understanding of key cabinet stakeholders and the ability to liaise effectively with ministers. The Mantralaya connect is critical. Industry Preference: Manufacturing, Auto, FMCG Roles and Responsibilities: - Government Affairs: Liaising with the state machinery like Secretariat, Govt officials, bureaucracy, and other govt. bodies like labor Department, municipality, Police authorities etc. - Media Relations: Develop and implement strategies to ensure positive coverage of the company in various media outlets. Manage press releases, media inquiries, and interviews. - Regulatory Affairs: Focus on interpretation of new laws. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory issues that may impact the organization. Engage with government officials and industry associations to advocate for the company's interests. - Stake holder Management: Engage with polity, community leaders, industry associations. contract lobbyists, elected officials, interest groups and other state agencies to convey the companys position on issues as per need. - Social Responsibility: Work with CSR team for initiatives and communicate the organization's commitment to ethical and sustainable business practices. - Statutory compliance: Overseeing different statutes particularly at local office, arranging legal advisory through identification and engagement of legal professionals, Qualifications & skills required: - Bachelors degree in public relations or related fields (Master's degree preferred). - Proven experience of 15 years+ in corporate affairs, public relations, or a related field. - Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. - Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive issues with discretion. - Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken communication in the local language and English.
