Join our top-notch team of nearly 60,000 professionals globally who are making their mark on some of the world's most beloved brands, including DEWALT- , CRAFTSMAN- , CUB CADET- , STANLEY- and BLACK+DECKER- Job Summary: - This role offers a global perspective, involving the ideation and coordination of high budget events and trade shows worldwide for Stanley Industrial's brand portfolio. - The candidate will be responsible for developing cost-effective event strategies in collaboration with business and product stakeholders. - The role expects the candidate to completely own the entire event management process and promotional strategy (digital and physical) within allocated budgets, handling tight timelines, enforcing deliverable due dates, fostering a collaborative atmosphere, and maximizing the ROI from each event. - Additionally, the candidate must consistently present SBD's products and services in a positive light to both existing and potential customers, influencing purchasing behaviors to drive revenue. Adaptability to evolving landscapes and prompt responsiveness to internal and external feedback are crucial aspects of this position. - Knowledge of industry procedures as related to trade shows and events, such as drayage, exhibit houses, show services, housing lists, union rules as they relate to labor, I&D, audio visual, etc. - Knowledge of cross-cultural differences and ability to manage and adapt to changing environmen - Strong interpersonal skills, ability to represent our brand internally and externally with all levels of management. - Strong knowledge of integrating events with Digital Campaigns - Knowledge of strategic marketing, market segmentation, market planning and analysis as well as customer knowledge. - Knowledge to conduct financial analysis and post-event reports. - Knowledge of critical assumption planning and contingency planning. - Expert communications skills, including use of productivity tools to ensure effective communications development, implementation and follow-up. - Aptitude for marketing activities, knowledge of strategic and business planning, global markets, competitive knowledge, competitive risks and landscape. - Competencies in fact finding, planning, problem solving, innovative thinking and strategic/ conceptual thinking. - Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communications, presentation skills, negotiating skills, teamwork skills and team building skills. Key Responsibilities: Research and expertise: - Analyze previous event or marketing data, as well as pull together our audience personas and generate a marketing approach on how specifically to target that audience. - Working knowledge of GE-Mckinsey Matrix and adaptation to develop events investments roadmap. Event effectiveness: - Work with Business verticals | campaign manager to ensure smooth and timely planning and execution of events, including client kick-off calls/emails, briefing and design delivery, delivery tracking and mid/post event reports. - Develop event objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure event effectiveness. - Ensure that event activities are aligned with the organization's overall strategy and goals. - Analyse and report on event metrics, including attendance, revenue, and expenses (P&L mgt). Vendor Management: - Plan, organize, and manage various events and activities, including conferences, trade shows, and networking events. - Manage all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, venue selection, vendor management (invoice mgt, payments) - Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders. - Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers. - Develop and implement event marketing and communication strategies. - Manage event logistics, including registration, catering, audio-visual equipment, and transportation. - Ensure that all events are executed efficiently and effectively within budget. Stakeholder management and communication: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful event execution. - Analyse and report on event metrics, including attendance, revenue, and expenses. - Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in event management. - Effectively interact with all levels of management, and with external customers/clients. Interface with multiple audiences including various organizations as Segments, Sales, Services, R&D, Marketing, Public Relations, and Finance.
