Role Overview:
As an Associate Director for Liabilities, you will play a pivotal role in driving the banks corporate deposit growth strategy within the Hyderabad market. This position involves managing a portfolio of high-value corporate relationships, acting as a strategic advisor to treasury heads and CFOs to optimize their liquidity management. You will collaborate closely with product teams, credit risk, and transaction banking specialists to deliver bespoke cash management solutions. By identifying market opportunities and deepening existing client engagements, you will directly influence the banks balance sheet strength and revenue growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire and manage a portfolio of corporate clients to drive growth in Current Account balances and overall liability deposits.
- Develop and execute account plans that align the banks cash management and liquidity solutions with the specific operational needs of corporate treasuries.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across transaction banking and credit to ensure seamless delivery of complex financial products and services. Acquire NTB account specific to liability.
- Conduct regular market mapping and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and expand the bank's footprint in the Hyderabad corporate sector.
- Maintain high standards of service quality and compliance, ensuring all client interactions adhere to the banks risk management frameworks and regulatory guidelines.
- Lead negotiations for complex mandates, leveraging your understanding of corporate banking to secure long-term, profitable relationships.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in Liability Sales and managing large-scale corporate relationships within the banking sector.
- Proficient understanding of Cash Management products, including payment solutions, liquidity structures, and digital banking platforms.
- Strong ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders, including CFOs and Finance Directors, to articulate value propositions and influence decision-making.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding aggressive deposit mobilization targets in a competitive corporate banking environment.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess client financial requirements and translate them into actionable banking solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and work effectively in a hybrid, on-site professional environment.
- A minimum of 4 - 15 years of relevant experience in corporate banking or liability management.
- A postgraduate degree in Management or Finance from a reputed institute is preferred.
