Staff Specialist - Workday Configuration

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Staff Specialist with extensive hands-on experience in Workday configuration to lead and optimize configuration efforts, ensuring alignment with business needs and best practices.

Must-Have Qualifications:

- 15+ years of professional experience, with 7+ years of deep functional and configuration experience in Workday

- Demonstrated expertise in configuring Core HCM, Compensation, and Benefits modules

- Strong understanding of Workday HCM structures, business process framework, eligibility rules, and compensation design

- Ability to independently lead discovery, design, configuration, testing, and support activities

- Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Good-to-Have Qualifications:

- Experience working in a large-scale HR transformation or global HRIS implementation

- Prior consulting experience in leading or supporting multiple Workday configuration projects

- Knowledge of compliance, payroll interface touch points, and Workday security

- Workday certification in HCM, Compensation, or Benefits

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead hands-on configuration of Workday modules (Core HCM, Compensation, and Benefits)

- Collaborate with HR stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable, efficient solutions

- Configure and optimize Workday business processes, condition rules, validations, and security settings

- Conduct detailed testing and provide expertise on Workday releases and assess the impact on existing configurations.
