Job Title: General Manager - Operations (Corporate-Position)

Location: Chennai Corporate Office with Pan-India Travel

Role Overview

To drive end-to-end operational excellence across all partner schools, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, timely execution, and scalable systems across locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end operations across all franchisee schools

- Implement and monitor SOPs and operational frameworks

- Ensure school readiness (infrastructure, manpower, systems) for new launches

- Conduct audits and compliance checks across campuses

- Manage vendors, procurement, and cost optimisation

- Drive central reporting, dashboards, and review systems

- Act as a bridge between corporate and school leadership

- Support Principals in day-to-day operational challenges

- Strengthen systems for scalability and consistency

Key Result Areas (KRAs) & KPIs

1. Operational Excellence

- 100% SOP implementation across all schools

- <5% operational deviations reported per audit cycle

- TAT adherence for issue resolution: within 48-72 hours

2. School Launch & Readiness

- 100% on-time launch of new schools as per agreed timelines

- Pre-opening checklist completion: 100% before launch

- Zero critical gaps in Day 1 readiness

3. Audit & Compliance

- Quarterly audits completed for all schools

- Compliance score: - 90% across campuses

- Closure of audit gaps within 15 days

4. Cost & Vendor Management

- Minimum 10-15% cost optimisation through vendor standardisation

- Approved vendor pool established for all key categories

- Zero major vendor/service disruptions

5. Franchisee Support & Satisfaction

- Monthly review calls with all partner schools completed

- School satisfaction score: - 4/5

- Reduction in escalation cases by 20% YoY

6. Reporting & Governance

- 100% timely submission of monthly operational reports

- Dashboards and MIS implemented across all schools

- Review mechanisms adhered to as per calendar

7. Team Effectiveness

- Defined structure and accountability across operations teams

Ideal Candidate

- 10-15 years in multi-unit operations (education division experience is a MUST)

- Strong execution, audit, and team management experience

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across locations
