A Client is a premier event and wedding company dedicated to crafting extraordinary experiences - from intimate destination weddings and lavish celebrations to large-scale concerts, brand activations, and corporate events. We believe every event tells a story, and we are committed to making each one unforgettable. As we scale our operations, we are looking for a driven and results-oriented Sponsorship Sales Head to lead our revenue partnerships and sponsor acquisition strategy.
ROLE OVERVIEW :
The Sponsorship Sales Head will own the end-to-end sponsorship pipeline for A Client - from identifying prospective sponsors and generating leads to closing high-value deals and nurturing long-term partnerships. This is a senior leadership role requiring a proven track record in sponsorship sales across events, concerts, entertainment, or related sectors. The ideal candidate is a hustler with a vast network, sharp negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of what brands look for when investing in event sponsorships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Sponsorship Strategy & Planning :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sponsorship sales strategy aligned with A Client's event calendar and revenue goals.
- Identify and segment target industries and brands that align with our event portfolio - weddings, concerts, lifestyle, fashion, food & beverage, hospitality, and more.
- Create compelling sponsorship decks, packages, and pricing tiers (Title, Co-Presenting, Associate, Category Exclusive, etc.) tailored to each prospect.
Lead Generation & Prospect Outreach :
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential sponsors through cold outreach, industry networking, referrals, and digital platforms.
- Leverage LinkedIn, industry databases, trade events, and existing contacts to identify decision-makers at brands and agencies.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking forums to generate new business relationships and leads.
- Partner with the marketing team to run targeted campaigns that attract inbound sponsorship interest.
Pitching & Deal Closure :
- Lead sponsor presentations, negotiations, and proposal customization to maximize deal value and probability of closure.
- Structure sponsorship agreements that offer measurable ROI to sponsors - digital visibility, on-ground activation, audience reach, and brand integration.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing and onboarding.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sponsorship revenue targets.
Relationship Management & Retention :
- Act as the primary point of contact for all sponsors - ensuring smooth activation, deliverable fulfillment, and post-event reporting.
- Build long-term, recurring sponsor relationships that convert one-time deals into multi-event or annual partnerships.
- Conduct post-event sponsor reviews and present ROI reports to retain and upsell existing partners.
- Maintain a high client satisfaction rate through proactive communication and excellence in sponsor servicing.
Team & Cross-functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with the events, marketing, creative, and operations teams to design sponsorship activations that are experiential and impactful.
- Mentor and guide junior BD or sales team members on sponsorship best practices.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition for all sponsorship deals.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
Mandatory :
- 8 - 10 years of experience in sponsorship sales, business development, or partnerships - specifically within events, concerts, entertainment, or experiential marketing.
- Demonstrated track record of independently generating leads, closing sponsorship deals, and managing high-value sponsor relationships.
- Strong existing network of brand managers, marketing heads, and agency decision-makers across consumer industries.
- Hands-on experience creating sponsorship decks, packages, and proposals that convert.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills - confident pitching at C-suite level.
Good to Have :
- Prior experience working in the wedding, luxury events, or live entertainment space.
- Existing relationships with FMCG, lifestyle, automobile, hospitality, or fashion brands.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) for pipeline management.
- Understanding of digital sponsorship mechanics - social media integrations, influencer tie-ins, branded content, and data reporting.
