Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager/State Head

Job Type: Full-Time, Institutional (B2B) Sales

Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving the adoption and sales of STEMLearn.AI's cutting-edge Robotics and AI curriculum and lab solutions to K-12 educational institutions (schools) across the state of Gujarat. This role is highly focused on institutional sales, relationship building with school management/trustees, and achieving aggressive sales targets in a key growth market.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Revenue Generation:

- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for program subscriptions, lab setup, and teacher training services within the assigned territory.

- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and cold calling to proposal submission, negotiation, and contract closure.

- Focus heavily on the Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities of Gujarat (e.g., Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Gandhinagar) to secure key institutional accounts.

2. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management:

- Identify and build strong, professional relationships with key decision-makers, including School Owners, Trust Members, Principals, and Academic Heads.

- Conduct compelling, customized product demonstrations and presentations.

- Effectively articulate how the Robotics & AI program aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Gujarat government's AI Mission.

- Act as the primary point of contact for schools, addressing their pedagogical and technical needs to tailor the optimal solution.

3. Market Strategy & Reporting:

- Develop a strategic territory sales plan that prioritizes target schools (CBSE, ICSE, International, and high-potential State Board schools).

- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports using the company's CRM system.

- Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and new educational trends in Gujarat to inform product strategy.

- Actively seek opportunities to leverage state initiatives like GUJCOST's Robofest or other state-level educational events for lead generation and brand visibility.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

- A Bachelor's degree is required, with a B.E./B.Tech. preferred.

- Candidates with an MBA in Sales/Marketing are also encouraged to apply.

Experience:

- 3+ years of institutional B2B sales experience is required.

- Must have at least 1-2 years specifically in the EdTech sector.

- Prior experience should preferably be in selling STEM, Coding, or other digital learning solutions to schools.

Domain Knowledge:

- A basic understanding of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Coding concepts is essential.

- Must be able to confidently explain the program's learning outcomes.

Language Proficiency:

- Fluency in Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi, and English (both spoken and written) is mandatory for effective stakeholder communication.

- This role requires an on-site presence; therefore, candidates must be current residents of Pune for Pune location.

Key Skills:

- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.

- Proven ability to close high-value B2B deals with a long sales cycle.

Travel Requirement:

- Must be willing to travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) within the assigned districts of Gujarat
