Role Overview:

As an SMSF Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs), providing comprehensive advice and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial goals and objectives, developing tailored strategies to maximize their retirement savings. Collaboration with internal teams, including financial planners and accountants, is crucial to deliver holistic financial solutions. Your expertise will directly impact clients' financial well-being, helping them achieve their retirement aspirations through effective SMSF management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a portfolio of SMSF clients, providing ongoing support and advice on all aspects of SMSF administration.

- Develop and implement investment strategies tailored to individual client needs and risk profiles, ensuring alignment with their retirement goals.

- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory reports for SMSFs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.

- Conduct SMSF audits to ensure compliance with superannuation laws and regulations, identifying and resolving any potential issues.

- Provide expert advice on SMSF legislation and compliance matters to clients and internal stakeholders, keeping them informed of changes and their implications.

- Collaborate with financial planners and accountants to deliver integrated financial solutions to clients, addressing their broader financial needs.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice on SMSF legislation, compliance, and investment strategies.

- Proven ability to prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory reports for SMSFs.

- Strong understanding of financial analysis, financial planning, and wealth management principles.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- 5-10 years of experience in SMSF Administration, SMSF Auditing, or a similar role.
