Role/ Job Description: Specialist- Centre of Excellence (CoE), Regulatory Reporting Unit

Function/ Department: Finance - Regulatory and NPA Reporting

Location: BKC Mumbai

Job Purpose:

Specialist. CoE Regulatory Reporting is responsible for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all regulatory reporting processes across the unit . The role supports in driving process standardization, data governance, automation, and continuous improvement to strengthen the department's regulatory reporting framework in line with RBI and Basel III guidelines. This involves ensuring accuracy, standardization, and governance across all regulatory submissions to the RBI and other statutory authorities. The role involves handling audit coordination including Statutory, Internal and RBI audits.

The incumbent should coordinate for maintaining SOPs, BORM controls, and BCP readiness for all regulatory reporting processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Regulatory Reporting & Compliance:

- Prepare, validate, and review regulatory and statutory returns (RBI, IFSCA etc.) ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

- Support reporting under DSB, XBRL and other key regulatory frameworks.

- Ensure compliance with RBI circulars, IRAC norms, and Basel III guidelines.

- Maintain proper documentation and version control of all reporting templates and data sources.

Data Quality & Control:

- Conduct data validation and reconciliation between source systems (CBS, LMS, GL, Data Warehouse) and reporting outputs.

- Maintain documentation of data lineage, validation checks, and process notes for audit and compliance reference.

- Work closely with Finance, Risk, IT, and Data Governance teams to strengthen control frameworks and improve data reliability.

SOPs, BORM & BCP Management:

- Draft, review, and periodically update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all regulatory reporting activities to ensure process transparency and control.

- Ensure that all processes are mapped under the Bank's Business Operations and Risk Management (BORM) framework with defined controls, frequency, and ownership.

- Support periodic testing and updating of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for the Regulatory Reporting Unit to ensure resilience and continuity of operations.

- Coordinate with the Risk & Control team for RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) and KRI (Key Risk Indicator) tracking related to regulatory reporting.

Process Excellence & Automation:

- Support Unit's initiatives focused on automation, standardization, and digitization of reporting workflows.

- Assist in testing, implementation, and enhancement of automated templates and dashboards

- Identify opportunities to streamline manual reporting processes and improve turnaround time (TAT).

Regulatory Change Management:

- Track new and revised RBI circulars, notifications, and guidelines impacting reporting requirements.

- Assist in interpreting regulatory changes and incorporating them into reporting templates and processes.

- Participate in internal working groups to implement regulatory updates and system changes.

Audit & Governance Support:

- Support internal and external audit reviews, including RBI inspections and compliance testing.

- Maintain proper documentation, evidence, and control logs for all submissions.

- Participate in governance forums and contribute insights for enhancing accuracy and efficiency.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of RBI and Basel reporting frameworks

- Sound understanding of banking products and financial ratios.

- Experience with Banking Systems and reporting/BI tools.

- Strong documentation and process management skills - especially in SOP, control mapping, and audit readiness.

- Collaborative mindset with strong communication and coordination skills across teams.
