Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Procurement Specialist with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our team in Mumbai.
This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal engagement and long-term success of our suppliers, specifically focusing on those in the oil and gas sector.
The specialist will own the supplier lifecycle, from onboarding and technical guidance to relationship building and driving lead generation performance on our platform.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Technical Engagement
- Lead the technical Onboarding process for new suppliers joining the platform, ensuring a seamless setup experience.
- Clearly communicate the technical and commercial benefits of the platform and provide comprehensive guidance through the profile setup and configuration steps.
- Ensure suppliers are fully proficient in utilizing all platform features relevant to their procurement needs and lead generation goals.
Response Management and Performance Optimization
- Proactively Monitor and encourage timely and high-quality responses to RFQs (Request for Quotations) from key suppliers.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for suppliers, efficiently addressing platform queries and providing support on best practices for maximizing their success rate.
- Analyze supplier activity data to identify areas for improvement and coach suppliers on optimizing their performance metrics.
Relationship Building and Feedback Loop
- Act as the main relationship manager and primary point of contact for the supplier base, fostering strong long-term relationships and rapport.
- Systematically gather technical and functional feedback from suppliers regarding the platform and business processes, channeling insights back to internal product and engineering teams.
- Drive long-term engagement by demonstrating clear value and growth potential to the supplier base.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of professional experience in supplier/vendor management, customer success, account management, or procurement.
- Industry Experience (Preferred): Preferred background or familiarity with supplier/vendor management in the oil and gas industry or a related industrial sector.
- Communication Skills: Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills with proven ability to build immediate rapport and trust with B2B stakeholders.
- Attributes: Possesses a high degree of ambition, self-motivation, and growth orientation, eager to excel within a dynamic, expanding team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Direct experience working with an e-procurement platform or B2B marketplace.
- Technical familiarity with common oil and gas procurement materials and services.
- Proficiency in using CRM software for tracking supplier engagement and performance metrics
