Role Summary:
The Manufacturing & Supply Chain Cost Analytics Specialist will provide decision-ready analytics to support our client cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering.
This role replaces consultant-driven analytics by building strong internal capability and partnering closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Cost Optimization Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and enhance cost, labor, productivity, and margin models
Analyze data related to:
o Manufacturing and engineering hours and utilization
o Labor mix, productivity, and ramp-up curves
o Material, supplier, and subcontract cost structures
- Develop dashboards and trackers to monitor:
o Cost optimization pipeline
o Realized vs. forecast savings
o Key risks, assumptions, and sensitivities
- Partner with Cost Optimization Engineers to:
o Validate savings assumptions
o Track realization and sustainability of savings
o Prevent double-counting or savings leakage
- Use AI-enabled analytics tools to improve speed, accuracy, and insight generation
- Translate complex analysis into clear PowerPoint summaries for leadership and executive reviews
- Support fact-based decision-making across manufacturing and supply chain teams
Required Qualifications:
- 58 years of experience in:
o Cost or operations analytics
o Operations finance
o Consulting analytics
o Industrial or manufacturing analytics
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivots, formulas)
- Strong PowerPoint communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to work with incomplete, evolving, or imperfect data
- Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency and ownership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain environments
- Exposure to cost modeling, margin analysis, or productivity analytics
- Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics tools (e.g., Copilot, Power BI, ChatGPT)
- Experience supporting cost reduction or operational improvement initiatives
