Job Description -0 HR Specialist

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to manage end-to-end HR operations at our Budhni plant. The role will be responsible for employee lifecycle management, plant HR operations, employee engagement, compliance, manpower planning and coordination with business and functional teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to plant HR / manufacturing environments, excellent employee-handling skills and a sound understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plant HR Operations:

- Manage day-to-day HR operations for the plant.

- Handle employee lifecycle activities including joining, onboarding, transfers, confirmations and exits.

- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

- Coordinate with corporate HR and plant leadership on HR-related matters.

2. Manpower Planning & Recruitment:

- Coordinate manpower planning based on plant requirements.

- Manage recruitment for shop-floor, technical, staff and support functions.

- Work with recruitment agencies and other hiring channels.

- Ensure timely onboarding and manpower availability.

3. Employee Relations:

- Act as the HR point of contact for employees and workers.

- Address employee grievances and workplace concerns.

- Support disciplinary processes and employee counselling.

- Maintain positive employee relations and a productive work environment.

4. Labour Law & Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.

- Manage documentation related to PF, ESIC, PT, gratuity, bonus, wages and other statutory matters.

- Coordinate with contractors and ensure compliance for contract labour.

- Support labour inspections, audits and statutory reporting.

5. Attendance, Payroll & HRIS:

- Monitor attendance, leave and shift-related records.

- Coordinate with payroll teams for accurate and timely salary processing.

- Ensure proper maintenance of HRIS and employee master data.

- Monitor overtime, absenteeism and manpower-related metrics.

6. Employee Engagement & Development:

- Drive employee engagement initiatives at the plant.

- Support induction and orientation programs.

- Coordinate training and skill-development initiatives.

- Organise employee welfare activities and communication programs.

7. Performance & HR Processes:

- Support performance management and appraisal processes.

- Assist managers in implementing HR policies and processes.

- Track employee productivity, absenteeism, attrition and other HR metrics.

- Prepare regular HR MIS and reports for management.

Key Skills Required:

- Strong knowledge of Plant HR / Industrial HR

- Good understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance

- Employee relations and grievance handling

- Recruitment and manpower planning

- Payroll and attendance management

- Contractor labour management

- HR MIS and HR analytics

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently in a plant environment

- Good stakeholder-management skills

Educational Qualification:

- MBA / PG Diploma in HR / Personnel Management / Labour Relations

- Graduation in any discipline
