
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven HR Specialist with 5-7 years of experience to join our dynamic HR team.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded professional with a deep understanding of core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and talent development.
This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while also contributing to team goals.
The HR Specialist will be a key point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance and support on a wide range of HR matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
- Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fairness and compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on performance improvement plans and terminations.
Performance Management:
- Administer and support the company's performance management program, including performance reviews and goal-setting processes.
- Coach and train managers on effective performance management techniques.
- Identify and address performance trends and provide data-driven insights to leadership.
HR Compliance and Administration:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to support business decisions.
Talent Management & Development:
- Support the talent acquisition process, including job descriptions, candidate screening, and onboarding.
- Assist with the development and delivery of training programs and workshops for employees and managers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the HR function.
Special Projects:
- Lead or participate in various HR projects, such as system implementations, policy updates, and process improvements.
- Contribute to a positive and engaging work environment by supporting employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist or HR Specialist role.
- Proven experience in managing complex employee relations issues and conducting investigations.
- Strong knowledge of U.federal and state employment laws (e., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO).
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e., ADP, Workday, BambooHR).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
