Compensation and Benefits Specialist Exp : 7-10 yrs Preferred CA or MBA Finance from Premium institute Location: Nigeria Position Overview: - The Compensation and Benefits Specialist will play a pivotal role in the Petrochemical Company's Finance team by overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the company's compensation policies, structures, and strategies. - The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring competitive and equitable compensation practices, conducting thorough market research, and recommending effective compensation strategies. - This role requires a seasoned professional with substantial experience in compensation management, a strong understanding of financial principles, and the ability to analyze market trends. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and manage the company's compensation policies, structures, and strategies in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. - Review and assess the effectiveness of current compensation structures, policies, and procedures; propose improvements and adjustments as needed. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate preparation of budgets, reports, and financial analyses related to compensation and benefits. - Lead the management of salary revisions, annual increments, and bonus distribution processes. - Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. - Conduct regular analyses of salary levels, allowances, and job classifications, identifying trends and recommending adjustments to maintain competitiveness. - Perform cost analyses to assess the financial impact of proposed compensation changes and provide insights for decision-making. - Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor practices, and emerging developments in compensation and benefits. - Analyze and recommend the company's compensation structure and offerings in comparison to market benchmarks; provide insights to drive strategic decision-making. - Collaborate with senior management to recommend innovative compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Preferred: CA or MBA Finance from a premium institute. - 7-10 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits management, preferably within the petrochemical, oil and gas, or related industries. - In-depth understanding of financial principles and the ability to analyze complex data related to compensation and benefits. - Strong proficiency in using spreadsheet and data analysis tools. - Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and data to inform decision-making. - Proven experience in designing and implementing effective compensation strategies. - Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively. - Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
