Reporting To: Head of Trading - Fixed Income Division

Department: Global Markets - Fixed Income

Education: Master's in Mathematics from IIT (Mandatory)

Academic Performance: Consistently 90%+ throughout academic career

Experience Level: Experience - ideally 2-5+ years in trading/finance

Job Description:


We are seeking an exceptionally qualified U.S. Treasury Trader to join our global markets team. The ideal candidate is an IIT alumnus with a Master's in Mathematics and an outstanding academic track record (90%+ consistently). We are looking for individuals with deep intellectual discipline, quantitative sharpness, and proven ability to operate in high-pressure trading environments.

This is a high-impact, front-office role responsible for trading U.S. government securities-including Treasury Bills, Notes, and Bonds-across maturity spectrums. The candidate will be expected to bring a high degree of accuracy, speed, and market insight to drive profitability while managing risk within defined limits.

Core Responsibilities:


- Execute and manage trades in U.S. Treasuries while monitoring market liquidity, interest rate movements, and macroeconomic data

- Analyze and interpret economic indicators, yield curves, and monetary policy impacts to guide trading strategy

- Develop quantitative models for pricing, risk evaluation, and portfolio optimization

- Collaborate with risk, compliance, and research teams to ensure regulatory alignment and trade integrity

- Monitor P&L, exposure, and ensure disciplined position management

- Participate in continuous market learning and strategic discussions with senior leadership

Candidate Profile:


- Master's degree in Mathematics from IIT (Required)

- Consistent academic excellence (minimum 90% across all academic years)

- Strong grasp of fixed income markets, bond pricing, and duration/convexity risk

- Proficient in Bloomberg, Excel (advanced), and programming tools (Python, R, or similar)

- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and composed under time-sensitive conditions

- Ethical, accountable, and aligned with our culture of precision and performance
