- The company is a climate-tech startup focused on Enhanced Rock Weathering to remove CO2 from the atmosphere

Key Responsibilities :

- The Sourcing Head role likely focuses on securing logistics, sourcing, and applying basalt rock across agricultural areas

1. Basalt Sourcing & Logistics : Oversee the procurement of large volumes of basalt rock from quarries. Optimize supply chain logistics to minimize transportation emissions and costs.

2. Logistics Network Development : Establish and maintain relationships with mining suppliers, logistical partners (trucking/rail), and local farming partners.

3. Farmer Network Engagement : Collaborate with field teams to coordinate rock supply with the application schedule on farms.

4. Cost Management : Negotiate pricing and logistics contracts to manage the "per ton" cost of carbon removal.

5. Sustainability Compliance : Ensure all sourced materials meet environmental, social, and quality standards for agricultural use.

Key Requirements :

- Experience : 8-12+ yrs in Sourcing/ logistics, supply chain, procurement, or agricultural commodities management.

- Skills : Strong analytical skills, vendor negotiation abilities, and familiarity with logistics management tools.

- Background : Experience in mining, agriculture, or heavy material logistics is highly desirable.
