Role Summary:
- Soulflower is looking for a VP - Commercial Planning & Revenue Operations to act as the company's commercial control tower across ecommerce, quick commerce, retail, D2C, and other revenue channels.
- This role will own pricing discipline, margin protection, commercial negotiations, MIS, projections, demand planning, platform performance, and operational efficiency wherever revenue, cost, margin, discounts, penalties, or profitability are involved.
- The ideal candidate must be strong with numbers, dashboards, negotiation, commercial judgment, and business control. This is not a reporting role. This is a business-critical role that protects profitability, challenges weak commercial decisions, supports platform negotiations, and ensures every channel runs with discipline, speed, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Pricing, Margin & Profitability Control
- Own pricing, discounting, margins, and profitability across all channels.
- Evaluate platform offers, schemes, commissions, visibility costs, deductions, and penalties.
- Track MRP, selling price, net realization, contribution margin, and profitability.
2. Commercial Negotiations
- Lead & support business teams in negotiations with platforms and commercial partners.
- Evaluate deals where money is involved: margins, discounts, commissions, visibility charges, penalties, deductions, payment terms, and profitability.
- Ensure deals are commercially viable and not driven only by topline growth.
3. Platform Revenue Management & Demand Planning
- Work closely with ecommerce, quick commerce, retail, and key account teams and monitor control tower, platform scorecards, account health, delivery speed, inventory availability, returns, and customer experience metrics, sales ranking
- Support commercial discussions with Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart, Myntra, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, and other platforms.
- Monitor platform margin & profitability, discount sharing, visibility spends, penalties, and deductions. Track SKU-wise, channel-wise, platform-wise performance
4. Systems, Process & Documentation
- Manage ERP, inventory tools, Internal dashboards, supply chain apps, and control tower
- Improve reporting formats, approval workflows, documentation, and control systems.
- Control SOPs for pricing, discount approvals, commercial negotiations, demand planning, platform reviews, audit trails, and MIS.
Preferred Experience- 6-8 years of experience in commercial planning, revenue operations, category management, revenue control, or business finance.
- Experience in FMCG, beauty, personal care, D2C, ecommerce, quick commerce, retail, or consumer brands will be preferred.
- MBA + Engineer / Chartered Accountant
