Sona BLW Precision Forgings - Deputy Manager - Purchase - Motors Vertical

Job Purpose:

Responsible and accountable for ensuring on time sourcing, commodity buyer, commodity leads, commercial finalization and Part development as per timelines in close co-ordination with cross functional team.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

- Supplier Identification for various commodities Castings, Forgings, Plastics

- RFQ Management

- Do costing of parts in order to arrive @ accurate level of estimation.

- Purchase Order Processing

- New Parts Development for Quicker realization.

- Contain the project / program material cost at optimum level.

- Achieve material cost reduction year on year through negotiation, alternate sourcing, VA/VE & localization

- Track and manage copper & aluminum Price Variation Clause Revisions

- Keep track of Other commodities (Steel, Plastics & Rubber) for Price Movements

- To handle global suppliers across all regions

- Handle audits (external & internal) including QMS & EMS

- Other duties assigned by management.

- No nonconformance in both internal and external audits

Person/Competency Specification:

Knowledge:

- Strong knowledge and exposure on costing of Mechanical components (Casting, Machining, Injection moulding, Stamping, Forging, Sub assy, PCBA, Cable Assy)

- ERP / SAP process

- Regulatory requirements related to Purchase

- Costing of various commodities

- Product knowledge

- Relevant Process knowledge
