Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced sales specialist for key states of north region to drive revenue growth across B2G, and B2B2G segments.
The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, a proven track record in government sales cycle management, and the ability to lead high-performing teams.
This role is crucial in shaping revenue growth, optimizing sales performance, and fostering cross-department collaboration to achieve business objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Revenue Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive customer acquisition and success strategy to acquire B2G and B2B2G clients.
- Take complete ownership of revenue target of the region, driving both individual and team targets, ensuring accountability in achieving desired results.
- Implement a strategic approach to nurture relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and converting them into strategic key accounts.
- Conducting detailed market research and analysis to identify and explore customer needs, trends and untapped business avenues and industries in the region contributing to expansion efforts and on new opportunities for growth.
Leadership:
- Create and manage a high-performing sales team, providing them with necessary training and guidance and performance management to meet their individual and team objectives.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities and results.
Channel Partnership:
- Proactively identify and evaluate new channels or mediums of sales to ensure the continuous growth and diversification of revenue streams.
Requirements:
At the heart of it, its a relationship driven role.
If you are someone, who is adept at managing large clients, building relationships with bureaucrats/engineers and understanding extended conversion cycles, this role is for you.
- 10 15 years of relevant experience in business development (sales), with at least 4 6 years of experience in a team leadership role.
- Prior sales experience with B2G customers is a prerequisite, including expertise in the entire tender process, from drafting and attending pre-bid meetings to submission.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Optional requirements:
- Prior experience in the water sector will be a plus but not mandatory.
- Prior sales experience with tech-enabled hardware and software products will be a plus but not mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing or a related field; MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification is an addition, but not mandatory.
