Job Summary:
The India Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing sales operations, and leading a high-performing sales team across the India region.
This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with regional and global business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales leadership in enterprise software, strong strategic acumen, and the ability to drive customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue & Growth: Own and drive revenue targets for the India market, ensuring consistent sales performance and forecast accuracy.
- Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Pipeline Management: Monitor and optimize the sales pipeline to ensure effective deal qualification, progression, and closure.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts, business updates, and performance insights to regional leadership.
- Customer & Partner Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy tailored to the Indian market, aligning with regional and global priorities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, channel teams, customer success, and product teams to drive market penetration and customer adoption.
- Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead high-value negotiations and ensure successful deal execution.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: 15+ years in software sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within enterprise software or IT solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT observability, IT management, and enterprise software sales.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire sales teams.
- Sales Expertise: Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue targets and scaling business operations.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Ability to engage with C-level executives and build long-term customer relationships.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong data-driven decision-making skills and business acumen.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
