Description:

Director of Sales will be responsible for building a world-class customer-centric sales organization, drawing inspiration from companies like Zappos, Swiggy, and American Express, and creating a strong sales engine that delivers consistent, delightful customer experience for rooftop solar solutions. SolarSquare wants to become Indias #1 new-age solar brand and seeks a sales leader who fully owns this ambition, with a proven track record of scaling sales in a high-growth or growth-stage startup. The person must be highly interpersonal, very result-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to juggle strategy with on-ground execution, while leading a 100+ member sales team as the senior sales leader.

Key responsibilities described include:

- Owning the overall sales architecture (strategy, org design, SOPs, process-tech, and team culture).

- Designing and implementing a scalable sales process from demand generation to contract closure, including P&L responsibility.

- Working with internal teams for smooth onboarding and implementation for customers.

- Designing and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed growth, retention, and revenue targets.

- Heading residential sales and managing the sales cost structure and budgets.

- Creating and tracking business metrics (user acquisition, conversion, engagement, satisfaction).

- Hiring, training, and developing the sales team, building a positive and creative environment.

- Mentoring the team in problem-solving, decision-making, and planning.

- Demonstrating accountability by completing projects on time and holding self and others to standards.

- Driving hiring strategy, training programs, and performance management frameworks for the sales teams growth.

Requirements:

- Graduate/postgraduate/MBA from tier-1 colleges (examples listed: SP Jain, NMIMS, IIM, ISB preferred).

- 10+ years of experience in sales roles in corporates or startups.

- Location for the role is Pune.

- Prior experience leading sales teams and contributing at a strategic level.

- Preference for experience in fast-growth, consumer-facing startups.

- Being a strategic and tactical thinker who can plan, execute, and pivot as needed to drive organizational growth.

- Ability to work in a high-growth environment.
