Role Overview


As the Associate Director - Presales, you will play a pivotal role in driving the companys growth strategy by leading presales initiatives, designing client-focused proposals, and collaborating closely with sales, product, and engineering teams. The role demands strategic thinking, deep understanding of solar solutions, and the ability to translate customer requirements into actionable technical and commercial solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


- Lead and manage the presales function, ensuring timely and high-quality proposals, RFP responses, and solution designs.


- Collaborate with the sales team to identify client needs and tailor solar solutions to meet technical and financial requirements.


- Work cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations teams to develop feasible and competitive proposals.


- Deliver engaging presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions to clients and partners.


- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and client feedback to enhance proposal strategies and product positioning.


- Develop and implement presales processes, documentation standards, and knowledge management systems.


- Mentor and guide presales team members to enhance their technical and commercial capabilities.


- Support senior leadership in revenue forecasting, bid management, and pipeline development.


Key Skills & Competencies:


- Strong understanding of solar energy systems, rooftop solutions, and renewable energy technologies.


- Proven experience in B2B presales, solution selling, or business development in the renewable/energy domain.


- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.


- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commercial mindset.


- Proficiency in proposal tools, CRM systems, and data-driven decision-making.


Preferred Qualifications:


- MBA from a reputed institute (preferably in Marketing, Strategy, or Energy Management).


- Prior experience in the solar or renewable energy industry is highly desirable.


- Hands-on experience in managing presales teams and collaborating with technical teams.
