Job Summary: The Software Delivery Manager is accountable for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of software projects and products. This role involves managing project teams, coordinating resources, and facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Software Delivery Manager ensures that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. - Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and task assignments. - Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage changes to scope and schedule. - Identify and mitigate potential risks and roadblocks to project delivery. - Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, including developers, designers, testers, and other relevant roles. - Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring clear communication and alignment. - Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing. - Allocate resources based on project requirements and team capacity. - Monitor resource utilization and adjust as needed to ensure optimal productivity. - Work with team leads to address resource constraints and skill gaps. - Establish and maintain communication channels with stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and team members. - Provide regular project status updates, reports, and presentations. - Address stakeholder concerns and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle. - Ensure that software development processes adhere to industry best practices and quality standards. - Oversee testing and quality assurance efforts to deliver reliable and high-quality software products. - Review and approve project deliverables to ensure alignment with requirements. - Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization. - Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate. - Provide financial reports and forecasts to stakeholders as needed. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the software delivery lifecycle. - Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to enhance delivery efficiency and effectiveness. - Conduct post-project reviews and capture lessons learned to inform future improvements. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Total 16+ years of experience and proven experience (3 years) as a Software Delivery Manager or in a similar role. - Strong project management skills and experience with project management methodologies. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in project management tools and software. - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. - Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
