Sobus Central HQ provides strategic support, systems, partnerships, and program design for all CoEs.

About the Role:

The Incubation Manager will build and run the incubation program housed within the Sobus CoE. This role combines entrepreneurship support, program design, and grassroots engagement ideal for someone who enjoys helping founders validate ideas, build prototypes, and turn them into viable early ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build & Manage the Incubation Program:

- Design and execute a structured incubation roadmap for student and local entrepreneurs.

- Set up onboarding processes, growth path, learning modules, expert sessions, milestone reviews, and final showcases/demos.

- Maintain clear documentation, progress trackers, and reporting dashboards.

2. Support Student Entrepreneurs & Innovation Teams:

- Work closely with students participating in the SPIRIT framework to develop projects into prototypes and early-stage ventures.

- Provide guidance on idea validation, product development, market understanding, and pitching.

- Facilitate access to the IoT/MakerSpace Lab (present on facility) for technical development.

3. Manage the CoE Startup Portfolio:

- Maintain engagement with startups currently associated with the CoE.

- Track progress, identify gaps, and match founders with mentors or relevant support.

- Prepare periodic progress notes for the CoE CEO and Sobus Central team.

4. Run the Incubation Centre on Campus:

- Ensure a well-functioning workspace with systems for scheduling, resource management, and founder support.

- Develop a calendar of clinics, workshops, peer circles, and founder meet-ups.

- Enable clear processes for lab access, equipment use, and shared resources.

5. Build Local Ecosystem Connect:

- Engage with local businesses, government departments, supply-chain partners, and financial institutions to open opportunities for pilots, customers and exposure.

- Identify and onboard mentors, technical experts, and entrepreneurship facilitators

- Design and manage a mentorship support program for participating ventures

Ideal Profile:

- 3 to 6 years in incubation, entrepreneurship development, program management, youth innovation, or rural enterprise support.

- Understanding of early-stage venture building and hands-on mentorship.

- Ability to build trust with student innovators and grassroots founders.

- Strong organisational and communication skills.

- Enthusiasm for working in a campus environment in a rural/semi-urban setting.
