SMFG India Credit - Assistant Vice President - Digital Analytics

Role & Responsibilities:

Business Analytics & Insights:

- Partner with Digital Business leaders to identify growth opportunities and solve business problems using data.

- Develop dashboards, reports and analytical frameworks to monitor key business and customer metrics.

- Perform deep-dive analyses to identify trends, customer behaviour patterns, funnel leakages and business improvement opportunities.

- Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Customer & Portfolio Analytics:

- Analyse customer acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement, retention and cross-sell performance.

- Evaluate campaign effectiveness and customer segmentation strategies.

- Support portfolio performance monitoring across digital lending products.

- Work closely with Risk and Business teams to evaluate portfolio quality and customer outcomes.

Experimentation & Decision Science:

- Design and evaluate A/B tests and controlled experiments for digital initiatives.

- Develop business cases for new product features and process improvements.

- Support optimization of digital customer journeys through data-backed recommendations.

Stakeholder Management:

- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Risk, Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to deliver analytics-driven business solutions.

- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

- Influence business decisions through analytical storytelling and data visualization.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of 12 analysts.

- Guide project prioritization, review analytical outputs and support capability development.

- Foster a culture of analytical excellence, innovation and continuous learning.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Candidates must have proficiency in SAS with proven experience of working with large, complex data.

- Prior experience in an NBFC, Bank, FinTech, or Digital Lending organization is strongly preferred.

Note - Candidates based out of Mumbai will be preferred. This is a work from office opportunity.
