- This position takes care of all the critical Customs topics including strategic decisions, litigations, streamlining Customs Tariff Heading, Finalisation of Special

- Valuation of SAVWIPL for all five brands.

- This role is responsible for ensuring closure of all pending litigations amounting to ~ INR 4,100 Mio which includes discussion with advocates and senior counsel of High Court/ Supreme Court, review of replies and appeals before Customs authorities, ensuring correct disclosure of all customs matters in the financial statements.

- Streamlining the Customs processes to ensure 100% Compliance, active participation to analyze Foreign Trade

- Policies regarding imports and exports.

- Leading the automation initiatives to automate various processes to reduce time and improve accuracy, involving automation in Check list of import & export shipments, inhouse development of system for brand rate export incentive of ~ INR 70 Mio.

- Active co-ordination with Group Customs colleagues on various complex customs matters.

- Development of multiple dashboards to provide important information to the Board members

- Active participation and leading upcoming projects

Description:

1. Responsible for all Customs compliances and expedite closure of open litigations 20%

2. Active involvement in Customs strategies and evaluation of business cases for future projects 20%

3. Active involvement of closing of Special Valuation Branch file of SAVWIPL 15%

4. Leading the tax automation initiatives 15%

5. Working with diverse stakeholders across SAVW India, VW Group to discuss various cross border transactions 10%

6. Ensuring all possible customs incentives and working to ensure fulfilment of compliance 10%

7. Responsible for representing the Company before various Customs authorities
