Purpose of the Position (Short Summary of the Role) :

This position is responsible for supporting the brand controller in preparation of financial performance reports and management review deck for brand directors, follows up with brand for Sales forecast / PR / Budget, solving any budget issues and support to the brand in making reports, preparation of monthly closing activities like monthly provisions of Tactical, Dealer bonus, Marketing etc, to review the product prices and approve the same in system (CIS/PIOS etc), and preparation of Detailed Tracking of Tactical and dealer bonus spend v/s Budget/Forecast.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks :

1) Financial Controlling, MIS and budgeting:

- Financial Planning (Planning round, Budget, Forecast, Projected Profit and Loss)

- Co-ordination with various departments for timely completion and Reporting of Budgeting activities

- Support in preparing the Monthly Forecasting

- Monthly Reporting to Group and local Management for Company Performance

- Support in preparation of Budget Vs Actual Variance Analysis

- Compilation and Analysis of Profitability Statements for Various States / Zones across India.

2) Cost Control and monitoring:

- Reporting based on budgeted / approved committed expenditures and actual expenses

- Maintaining strong control over budgets of each department

3) Planning, Budgeting and Management reporting:

- Support in preparation of sustainable long term financial planning (PR) of the division considering key business inputs, Brand and Group presumptions in order to meet strategic business objectives.

- To prepare detailed monthly Budget for the Brand in line with long term financial plan after consultation with head of division and head of departments.

- To ensure accurate monthly rolling forecast for the Brand considering key inputs, actual results, current business, economic and financial situation.

4) Product pricing and gross margin Analysis:

- To provide input on local tax regulation / any changes impacting product pricing.

- Preparing pricing for different models and variants to be issued to dealer partners.

- To review and approve product pricing in system (CIS / PIOS)

5) Business Support and cross functional responsibilities:

- Detailed analysis/ Tracing of Tactical & Dealer Bonus monthly spend against budget / forecast.

- Provisions for expenses to accounting department based on actual spends, open financial commitments and inputs from head of departments.

- Dealing with internal / external auditors for yearend closing December and Financial closing in March as per Indian tax regulations.

- To provide appropriate input to treasury department for foreign currency hedging.

- Ensuring correct representation of tactical, dealer bonus and marketing spends on a monthly basis at 6 digit level and coordinating with the brand for approval of actions on a monthly basis.

- Ensure process compliance within the brands.

6) Finance Projects:

- Implementation / maintaining / monitoring changes into financial systems.

- Evaluation of peripheral systems from a financial perspective to ensure that correct processes are followed, and accounting / audit trail is possible.

- Support development & end to end process requirement of systems having interface with finance systems
