Job Title: Director of Engineering

Location: Bangalore (100% WFO)

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Engineering to lead our growing engineering function.

In this role, youll work closely with Product and ML teams to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of critical projects.

You will be responsible for building and scaling engineering processes, driving technical excellence, and growing a world-class engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring smooth execution across multiple projects and functions.

- Collaborate with Product and Machine Learning teams to define, plan, and deliver high-impact solutions on time.

- Establish and enforce strong software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including:

- Requirement documentation

- Technical specifications

- Coding standards and implementation practices

- Code reviews, testing, and quality assurance

- Deployment, post-launch monitoring, and observability

- Security, compliance, and operational best practices

- Stay current with evolving trends in AI/ML development and integrate best practices into engineering workflows.

- Own and manage engineering hiring, team planning, and budget allocation.

- Build a high-performance engineering culture rooted in ownership, quality, and continuous learning.

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven track record of hiring, managing, and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.

- Experience leading teams through different stages of growth (1050+ engineers).

- Early-stage startup experience is mandatory.

- Currently serving as an Engineering Manager, Senior EM, Director, or higher at a reputed technology company.

- Familiarity or experience with AI/ML technologies is a strong advantage.
