Job Title: Sourcing Designation Manager

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Manager Apparel Sourcing is responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing activities, including sample development, costing, vendor onboarding, production follow-up, and supplier performance. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven delivery through effective planning, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration. Strong problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with regular travel to supplier and factory locations.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage end-to-end sourcing and production execution for apparel and accessories.

- Drive capacity planning, production scheduling, and supplier lead-time optimization.

- Monitor production progress through TNA (Time & Action Calendar), WIP reports, and production trackers.

- Identify production risks early and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.

- Manage supplier performance and drive achievement of quality, cost, delivery, and service KPIs.

- Lead product development, sample execution, and production follow-up to meet business timelines.

- Negotiate product costing and optimize FOB while supporting margin improvement initiatives.

- Review tech packs, costing, TNAs, and production data to ensure accuracy and execution readiness.

- Collaborate with suppliers, factories, merchandising, PPC, quality, and design teams to ensure seamless execution.

- Identify, onboard, develop, and manage vendors while ensuring compliance with company standards.

- Prepare and maintain production reports using internal systems and production planning tools.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and supply chain operations.

- Travel regularly to supplier and factory locations for production follow-up, vendor development, and issue resolution.

- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

- Experience with Flex PLM, SAP, or similar ERP/PLM systems is preferred.

QUALIFICATION: B.E. Textile / B.F. Tech / NIFT preferred / Other

EXPERIENCE: 8+ years

COMPETENCIES:

- Excellent communication, Decision making and team handling skills.

- Technical Skills Required: Technical know-how of apparel manufacturing processes, strong knowledge of fabric quality / textile, analytical aptitude, must be well versed with presenting production reports.
