Job Description:
- Assist in developing and implementing product merchandising plans and strategies for the Skechers Sports Equipment category.
- Support the Category Manager in selecting the right product mix to meet customer demand while aligning with brand standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize overstock or stock-out situations.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, understand customer behavior, and make data-driven decisions regarding buying, product placement, and promotions.
- Collaborate in creating and maintaining visually appealing displays and store layouts that enhance customer experience and drive sales.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery and efficient inventory flow.
- Assist in planning and executing promotional campaigns and events to support business objectives.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory health, and key merchandising metrics.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and operations to ensure alignment of merchandising strategies.
- Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and emerging merchandising concepts.
- Identify and resolve any issues related to merchandising, buying, or production.
- Train sales staff and other internal teams on sports equipment products and features.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the sports equipment industry preferred.
- Background in retail or e-commerce is desirable.
- Strong understanding of merchandising principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant merchandising tools.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
