Role Overview:

The Site Regulatory & Environment Head will lead compliance, sustainability, and environmental management initiatives at the factory. This role ensures adherence to all applicable legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements safe waste disposal while driving sustainable practices. The position is critical for maintaining operational integrity, protecting the environment, and fostering a culture of compliance and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure full compliance with Indian environmental laws, chemical regulations, and factory rules applicable in Gujarat.

- Liaise with government authorities (e.g., CPCB, GPCB, MoEF CC etc.) for permits, audits, and inspections.

- Maintain accurate documentation and timely submission of statutory reports.

Environmental Management:

- Develop and implement site-wide environmental policies and procedures.

- Monitor emissions, effluents, and resource usage to meet prescribed standards.

- Drive initiatives for pollution prevention, resource conservation, and circular economy practices.

Sustainability Leadership:

- Champion sustainability programs aligned with corporate ESG goals.

- Introduce renewable energy, water conservation, and green chemistry initiatives.

- Conduct sustainability audits and publish progress reports.

Safety & Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for hazardous processes.

- Participate in emergency preparedness and response planning.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sustainability into operations.

- Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators, local communities, and industry associations.

- Provide training and awareness programs for employees on compliance, environment protection, and sustainability.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

- Over 15+ years of experience in regulatory, environmental, or sustainability roles within chemical industries.

- Strong knowledge of Indian environmental laws, hazardous waste rules, and chemical regulations.

- Proven track record in sustainability initiatives and compliance management.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
