Job Title: Site Incharge Solar Power Plant
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site activities for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power plants.
- Supervise civil, mechanical, and electrical work to ensure timely project execution.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams to achieve project milestones.
- Monitor project progress and ensure completion as per approved schedules.
- Ensure compliance with project drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction.
- Enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
- Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently.
- Verify material quality, maintain inventory, and coordinate procurement requirements.
- Oversee installation of solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, transformers, switchyards, and associated electrical systems.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and grid synchronization activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and submit them to project management.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, DISCOMs, and statutory authorities for project-related approvals and inspections.
- Ensure proper documentation, including work permits, inspection reports, DPRs, and quality records.
- Monitor project costs and minimize material wastage and rework.
- Troubleshoot site issues and ensure timely resolution without impacting project timelines.
- Support final project handover, punch point closure, and as-built documentation.
Required Skills :
- Knowledge of solar PV systems, EPC projects, and utility-scale solar plants.
- Understanding of electrical systems including HT/LT panels, transformers, switchyards, and SCADA.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership, team management, and contractor coordination skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards, QA/QC procedures, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and project reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience : 15-22 years of experience in solar power plant construction, installation, or commissioning.
- Experience in utility-scale solar projects (10 MW and above) will be preferred.
- Willingness to travel and stay at project sites as required.
