
Job Description:
The Bid Manager will lead end-to-end bid management for strategic cybersecurity opportunities across enterprise, BFSI, government, and critical infrastructure sectors.
The role is responsible for managing complex RFP/RFI/RFQ responses, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality submissions, and driving proposal strategy to maximize win probability.
The ideal candidate should have experience in cybersecurity solution bidding, commercial coordination, compliance management, and proposal development involving SIEM, SOC, Data Security, Compliance and security testing etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Bid and Proposal Management:
- Own the complete bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification to proposal submission.
- Analyze RFP/RFI/RFQ documents and prepare compliance matrices, bid plans, and submission schedules.
- Coordinate with Sales, Pre-Sales, Delivery, Product Management, Legal, Finance, Procurement, and OEM partners.
- Drive bid review meetings, track action items, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Maintain proposal quality, consistency, and compliance with customer requirements.
- Manage clarification responses, customer queries, commercial revisions, and post-submission activities.
Cybersecurity Solution Coordination:
- Coordinate technical and commercial responses across solution areas including SIEM and Security Analytics, SOC and Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Compliance and Governance (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, RBI, CERT-In, etc.), Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), Application Security Testing (SAST, DAST, API Security, Mobile Security), Data Protection and Governance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Encryption, Key Management and Tokenization, Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), Threat Intelligence, Identity and Access Management (IAM/PAM), Cloud Security, and Security Consulting Services.
Commercial and OEM Management:
- Coordinate pricing with internal stakeholders and OEM partners.
- Consolidate BoMs, licensing, professional services, managed services, and support costs.
- Validate commercial assumptions and identify bid risks.
- Manage NDA, OEM authorization letters, compliance declarations, and partner documentation.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure all mandatory bid documentation is complete and compliant.
- Manage bid repositories, templates, and knowledge libraries.
- Identify contractual, technical, and commercial risks during bid evaluation.
- Support bid/no-bid decisions with risk and effort assessments.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the central point of contact across Sales, Pre-Sales, Delivery, Support, Legal, Finance, and external partners.
- Coordinate executive reviews and approval checkpoints.
- Facilitate lessons learned and continuous improvement after bid submissions.
Required Skills:
- End-to-end RFP/RFI/RFQ management, proposal planning, compliance matrix preparation, bid governance, commercial coordination, and executive-level communication.
- Working knowledge of SIEM platforms, Security Operations Center (SOC), Compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, CIS), VAPT and Application Security, Data Protection and Encryption, IAM/PAM, DFIR, Cloud Security, and Security Testing methodologies.
- Deep technical expertise is not mandatory, but the ability to coordinate technical responses effectively is essential.
Preferred Experience:
- 8 - 10+ years in Bid Management, Proposal Management, or Pre-Sales Operations.
- Experience responding to large enterprise, PSU, government, or BFSI cybersecurity tenders.
- Familiarity with procurement portals such as GeM, CPPP, and major enterprise procurement systems.
- Experience managing multi-OEM cybersecurity proposals.
- Understanding of licensing models and professional services estimation.
