Role Overview:

As an Analyst / Associate at Singhi Advisors, you will be a core part of live M&A deal teams, working closely with Partners/ SBU Heads across the full transaction lifecycle - from sector coverage and target identification through financial modelling, due diligence, deal structuring and close. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role best suited to high-energy professionals who thrive in a fast-paced deal environment and want meaningful ownership from day one.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Deal Execution & Transaction Management:


- Support end-to-end execution of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including buy-side, sell-side, and divestment mandates.

- Coordinate due diligence processes - financial, commercial, legal and operational.

- Track key deal milestones, maintain transaction timelines for seamless deal progression.

2. Financial Modelling & Valuation:

- Build and maintain robust financial models including DCF, LBO, precedent transactions and comparable company analysis.

- Develop detailed valuation analyses for debt and equity components in M&A, PE and structured finance transactions.

- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of complex financial and operational data to support deal thesis and client presentations.

- Analyse company fundamentals, financial statements and key metrics to prepare investment-grade research and reports.

3. Research, Sector Coverage & Business Development:

- Develop and maintain deep sector knowledge across assigned verticals; prepare and regularly update comprehensive sector reports tracking M&A trends, valuations, deal activity and competitive dynamics.

- Monitor industry developments and assess strategic implications for Singhi's clients and pipeline.

- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, divestment opportunities through proprietary research, database searches, industry networking and peer referrals.

- Support the SBU Head in executing business development strategies and originating new mandates within target sectors.

4. Client Materials & Pitchbook Preparation:

- Prepare high-quality investment memoranda (IMs), management presentations, pitchbooks and board-level materials for current and prospective clients.

- Create and maintain client portfolio presentations; ensure timely monthly submissions with up-to-date deal and market data.

- Lead the preparation of materials supporting M&A strategy discussions with SBU Heads and internal stakeholders.

- Prepare and submit Monthly SBU MIS (Management Information System) reports for leadership review.

6. Relationship Management & Collaboration:

- Build and deepen relationships with key decision-makers, promoters, corporate CXOs and PE investors within assigned sectors.

- Maintain constructive client relationships throughout the deal lifecycle - from mandate formulation through signing and close - to ensure repeat business potential.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and develop new client mandates and business opportunities.

- Assist SBU Heads with broader strategic initiatives, cross-sector collaboration and internal knowledge-sharing.

Educational Background (Any one):

- MBA / PGDM from a reputed B-School (Finance specialisation preferred)

- CA (Chartered Accountant) - ICAI

- CFA Charter Holder or CFA Level II / III Candidate

- B.Com / B.Tech + MBA or equivalent with strong finance fundamentals

- Advanced proficiency - DCF, LBO, merger models, accretion/dilution analysis, sensitivity & scenario analysis.


Financial Modelling:

- Strong command of trading comps, transaction comps, sum-of-the-parts and asset-based valuation methods.


Valuation:

- Ability to synthesise complex industry data into compelling investment narratives and sector theses.


Research & Analysis:

- Excellent writing skills for investment memoranda, pitchbooks, client presentations and deal teasers.


Document Preparation:

- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word; familiarity with Bloomberg, CapIQ, Refinitiv / LSEG or Venture Intelligence a plus.


MS Office:

- Solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow analysis and key credit metrics.
