We are looking for an exceptional Financial Controller to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, governance, and performance management for a high-growth, global organization.

Role Overview:

As the Financial Controller, you will be a key strategic partner to the leadership team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing all financial operations of Simplilearn. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial strategy and reporting of a fast-growing, high-impact digital learning company, ensuring robust financial governance while supporting aggressive growth and global expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Strategy:

- Lead the end-to-end finance function, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

- Partner with executive leadership to develop strategic financial plans aligned with Simplilearn's growth trajectory and investment strategy.

- Drive financial modeling and scenario analysis to support business decisions, M&A, and new product initiatives.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with statutory regulations and IFRS/GAAP standards.

- Implement strong internal controls and compliance frameworks to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.

- Oversee audits and maintain transparent communication with investors, stakeholders, and auditors.

Operational Finance & Business Partnering:

- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure to ensure financial sustainability during periods of rapid growth.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, operations, and product to provide financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.

- Evaluate investment proposals, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives to maximize profitability.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

- Drive continuous process improvements and automation within the finance function to support scale and efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

- Proven experience as Financial Controller in a fast-growing, high-growth company or multinational environment.

- Strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

- Hands-on experience managing multi-location finance operations, ideally in technology, ed-tech, or SaaS companies.

- Expertise in IFRS/GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and investor reporting.

- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing finance teams.

- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, capable of presenting complex financial insights to senior leadership and investors.

- Comfort working in a dynamic, high-growth environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
