JD Manager Strategy & Operations

Reports to: MD & CEO

Location: Head Office, Hyderabad

1. Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional professional to join Sigachi as Manager Strategy & Operations, directly reporting to the MD & CEO. This role will be central in shaping strategy, driving operational excellence, enabling cross-functional execution.

The individual will work closely with the CEO, business CXOs, and functional heads to spearhead strategic initiatives, expand the portfolio, optimize processes, track capital efficiency, and manage transformation projects aligned with Sigachis Panch Vriddhi growth roadmap.

2. Key Responsibilities:

A. Shaping Corporate & Business Strategy:

- Work alongside MD & CEO and leadership team to define and execute Sigachis growth blueprint across Excipients, APIs, F&N divisions

- Conduct market and product assessments, identifying expansion opportunities in regulated and semi-regulated markets.

- Validate new business plans through feasibility studies, competitive analyses, and strategic alignment assessments.

- Conduct risk analyses and develop proactive mitigation strategies to safeguard business continuity.

B. Business Transformation & Operational Excellence:

- Spearhead transformation initiatives across plants and functions streamline processes, optimize productivity, improve margins, and embed EHS standards.

- Drive project implementation with clear metrics, ensuring alignment with CEOs strategic objectives and timely delivery.

- Lead performance reviews (QBRs, MBRs) and ensure closure of actionable points with measurable impact.

- Support integration of acquired entities through structured 100-day and 200-day post-merger integration plans.

C. Inorganic Growth & Partnerships:

- Lead opportunity scanning for acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships in pharma and specialty ingredients.

- Prepare M&A/strategic partnership theses evaluating markets, financials, synergies, and business fit with Sigachi.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, HR, SCM, R&D) to manage commercial due diligence.

- Support negotiation strategies and alignment of commercial & non-commercial terms.

3. Skills & Competencies:

- Strong background in strategic planning, business transformation, and operational excellence.

- Analytical and financial acumen: ability to synthesize market data and financial models into actionable insights.

- Understanding of global pharma value chains.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- High ownership, emotional intelligence, and resilience in handling ambiguity.

- Proficiency in leveraging digital tools for project management, dashboards, and transformation tracking.

4. Qualifications:

- MBA or equivalent Masters degree (Tier-I/Tier-II institute preferred).

- 3-8 years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy or in-house PMO/strategy roles.

- Pharma/chemicals sector exposure strongly preferred; global exposure an advantage.
