Job Description:

The Candidate will undertake detailed and focused sell-side research with an institutional focus on his assigned business sectors and companies. He/She may also work closely with other departments in the organization (corporate finance/brokerage/investment) on specific projects as required. Other details are given below.

- Understand and develop a thorough understanding of the GCC/MENA equity markets and the sectors/companies assigned

- Develop and maintain management contacts in companies under coverage and interact with them on a regular basis

- Conduct detailed research (both primary and secondary) on the assigned sectors/companies and generate investment ideas mainly for an institutional client base

- Write and publish detailed initiation reports and updates (based on company results/major events) on assigned sectors/companies

- Interact with clients about investment ideas and participate in road shows, seminars and other related events.

- Assist the department in developing/maintaining/updating databases and periodical reports.

- Provide training to junior analysts/trainees as and when required

Employee Profile:

The analyst should at least have a bachelor degree in economics, business or related areas from a well known institution. Candidates with an MBA and/or CFA qualification (charter holders) will be preferred. Other requirements are given below

- At least 4 years of Sell side Research experience with demonstrated ability to build models, investment thesis and report writing skills

- Prior experience covering GCC/MENA markets will be an added advantage. Analysts working with KPO companies covering MENA region will be preferred

- Candidates with research experience in TTMT sector will be preferred

- Excellent communications skills (both written and oral English)

- Strong analytical and conceptual skills encompassing finance and financial investments

- Thorough understanding about various valuation approaches and methods

- Familiarity with various research/database platforms (Bloomberg, Reuters etc.) is a must

- Should be confident, hard working, result oriented and a good team player
