Job Title: Investment Manager Family Office
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and analytical Investment Manager to oversee and manage our single-family office portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in investment management, private wealth advisory, or family office operations.
In this role, you will lead portfolio strategy, thoroughly evaluate investment products across traditional and alternative asset classes, track performance, and ensure our wealth structure remains tax-optimized and fully compliant. You will act as a trusted advisor, bridging high-level investment strategy with hands-on portfolio administration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Portfolio Strategy & Investment Evaluation:
- Lead end-to-end evaluation and due diligence for new investment opportunities (listed equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, venture capital, and structured products).
- Formulate asset allocation strategies aligned with the familys risk tolerance, liquidity requirements, and long-term capital preservation goals.
- Evaluate external fund managers, wealth advisory firms, and private placement offerings.
2. Performance Analysis & Risk Management:
- Analyze portfolio performance, risk-adjusted returns (Sharpe ratio, alpha, beta), and benchmarks across all asset classes.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive monthly and quarterly performance reporting for the family board/principals.
- Monitor liquidity requirements to ensure capital calls, distributions, and ongoing cash-flow needs are seamlessly managed.
3. Taxation & Estate Structuring:
- Oversee tax planning and tax-efficient portfolio structuring in coordination with external tax advisors and accountants.
- Manage capital gains planning, tax optimization across corporate holding entities/trusts, and international tax compliance where applicable.
- Support estate and legacy planning initiatives to ensure efficient intergenerational wealth transfers.
4. Regulatory Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure all family office investments and trading activities adhere strictly to applicable local and regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain complete documentation for investment mandates, agreements, and KYC/AML compliance across banking and brokerage partners.
- Coordinate with legal counsel to review investment agreements, term sheets, and shareholder documents.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Investment Management, Wealth Management, Asset Management, or a Single/Multi-Family Office environment.
- Education: Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), Economics, or related quantitative field.
- Certifications: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CA (Chartered Accountant) / CPA preferred.
- Asset Class Expertise: Deep understanding of global/domestic financial markets, direct private investments, alternative assets, and fixed income.
- Taxation Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of corporate and personal tax structures, trusts, and capital gains taxation.
- Tech & Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and portfolio accounting tools.
