Role Purpose:
- The NPD & EPD Manager is responsible for end-to-end ownership of new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD) within the Beauty category.
- The role drives innovation, portfolio growth, and continuous improvement by delivering consumer-relevant, high-quality, and commercially viable products aligned with brand and business objectives.
Job Description:
- Own NPD (New Product Development) initiatives including new launches, new formats, new formulations, and category expansions.
- Own EPD (Existing Product Development) initiatives including line extensions, reformulations, pack changes, cost optimization, and quality improvements.
- Own the full product lifecycleNPD Calendar, concept, design, formulation/specification, prototyping, testing and launch.
- Conduct market, consumer, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and translate consumer needs into clear product briefs.
- Continuously improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall product quality.
- Drive timely execution while balancing speed-to-market and product excellence.
- Manage external vendors, manufacturers, and support internal team.
- Track post-launch performance, consumer feedback, and planned ROS.
- Perform regular data review, analysis, and performance tracking.
- Take accountability for problem-solving and decision-making across the product lifecycle.
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of Beauty product development, formulations, and trends.
- Experience handling both NPD innovation and EPD optimization.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills with cross-functional teams and partners.
- Knowledge of quality standards, manufacturing processes, and supplier ecosystems.
- Relevant industry and technical exposure aligned to the Beauty category.
