Position Vacant / Designation : Sales Head
Job Description :
- The Sales Head will lead end-to-end operations of the Fire Safety Division across all SHM Group locations. The role involves operational excellence, profitability management, service standardization, and capability building across project execution, maintenance, and compliance functions.
- The Sales Head will serve as the business integrator, linking strategy, people, processes, and performance to ensure SHMs fire safety services are delivered efficiently, safely, and profitably.
Reporting to: Managing Director
Location: Mumbai (with travel across ports and industrial sites)
Team: Regional Managers, Project & Service Heads, Supply Chain, and QA/Compliance Leads
Key Responsibilities:
- Define business objectives and translate them into actionable plans across projects, services, AMCs, and spares.
- Standardize operational processes, documentation, and quality benchmarks across all branches.
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, NBC, IS, and other statutory fire standards.
- Own P&L for the division; track cost efficiency, margins, and cash flow.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and profitability models for each revenue stream.
- Drive project execution discipline: scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Establish a unified QA/QC framework for installation and service.
- Mentor regional teams; ensure technical upskilling and process awareness.
- Implement field-service management tools and ERP integrations (Odoo).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- EBITDA margin improvement by X% year-on-year
- SLA adherence > 90%
- AMC renewal rate > 75%
- Project completion within budget and time > 95%
- Customer satisfaction score > 4.5/5
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical / Fire / Electrical), with MBA preferred.
- Experience: 18 - 25 years, with at least 8 years in senior operational leadership in fire safety, marine services, or industrial projects.
- Proven P&L and multi-location management experience
- Process standardization and cost optimization expertise
- Strong grasp of statutory fire codes and marine safety standards
- Vendor and supply chain rationalization experience
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and data-driven decision skills
