Role Overview:
The Director of Finance & Accounts at Shiprocket will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the financial operations, managing financial risks, and ensuring the financial health of the organization. This role requires an individual with extensive experience in finance, accounting, and IPO processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's business objectives, along with overseeing long-term budgetary planning and cost management.
2. Financial Management and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards and manage the financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes.
3. IPO Preparation and Management: Ensure all financial reporting, disclosures, and compliance requirements are met for the IPO. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and investor relations teams.
4. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks. Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
5. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and learning.
6. Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and other financial institutions. Ensure transparent and effective communication with all stakeholders.
7. Operational Efficiency: Implement best practices in financial management and operational procedures. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Chartered Accountant with 12-14 years of post-qualification experience.
- IPO Experience is a must.
- Must have an excellent grasp of IND AS.
- A strong and extensive experience in financial reporting, preferably in a listed company scenario.
- Excellent analytical skills, and decision-making abilities. Extremely strong data oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptable and resilient, able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
