Role Overview:

As a Solution Architect OSS BSS Telecom at ShellKode, you will be responsible for designing and architecting end-to-end solutions for our telecom clients, encompassing OSS (Operations Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems). You will collaborate closely with clients, internal teams (including development, engineering, and project management), and stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our solutions align with industry best practices, meet performance expectations, and contribute to improved operational efficiency and customer satisfaction for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and document solution architectures for OSS/BSS implementations, considering scalability, performance, security, and maintainability, to meet client's business and technical requirements.

- Lead the design and integration of various OSS/BSS components, such as service fulfillment, service assurance, billing, customer relationship management (CRM), and network management systems, to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.

- Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, frameworks, and tools for OSS/BSS solutions, considering factors like cost, performance, and vendor support, to optimize the overall solution architecture.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams during the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and coding standards, to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Collaborate with network architects and IT infrastructure teams to design and optimize the underlying infrastructure for OSS/BSS solutions, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.

- Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) and prototyping activities to validate solution designs and identify potential risks or challenges, to mitigate issues early in the development lifecycle.

- Develop and maintain architectural artifacts, including solution blueprints, technical specifications, and interface definitions, to ensure clear communication and documentation of the solution design.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the OSS/BSS domain, to provide innovative solutions and recommendations to clients.

- Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution presentations, proposal development, and technical due diligence, to secure new business opportunities.

- Ensure security considerations are integrated into the solution design, addressing vulnerabilities and compliance requirements, to protect client data and infrastructure.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to design and architect complex OSS/BSS solutions for telecom operators, considering various functional domains and integration points.

- Proven expertise in telecom network architecture, IT infrastructure, and security principles, enabling the design of robust and secure solutions.

- Strong understanding of industry standards and protocols related to OSS/BSS, such as TM Forum Frameworx, ITIL, and eTOM.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Adaptable to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

- Experience: 10 - 20 years.
