Group Tax Reporting in Shell Business Operations, Chennai Group Tax Reporting: - Current and Deferred income tax recognition and reporting; - Effective Rate Analysis - Assessment of Foreign tax credits and impact - Tax Balance sheet analysis - Analysis of tax sensitive provisions, deferred tax balances, valuation allowances and provision against Uncertain Tax Positions - Owning and operating tax internal controls including SOX controls - Providing quarterly tax projections. Requirement: The role is technically demanding and requires strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (specially Tax Accounting Standards), and group reporting process and controls along with knowledge of one or more tax jurisdictions and experience of having dealt in country tax legislation. - Recognized professional qualification and a member of a recognized accounting body - Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (specially Tax Accounting Standards); - Good knowledge and experience in tax law and practice across multiple jurisdictions, in all areas of direct taxation, with specialised knowledge and tax training in atleast one of the large tax jurisdictions (India/US/Canada/Other commonwealth countries); - Strong understanding of Control Frameworks, controls in a tax environment and tax accounting under IFRS and/or GAAP - Effective influencing skills and communicator of complex tax issues; both written and oral - Passionate about tax and track record of delivery through teams including development of staff - Should be focused, result oriented and should have basic knowledge of ERPs - Experience working with complex accounting and connected applications infrastructure - Likely profile &gt;12 years broad professional experience out of which minimum 6 years of experience in Tax Accounting /Controller/Group Tax Reporting/Group Reporting functions for another multinational, or experience in professional services firm undertaking audit of large MNC's /Indian Companies following the IFRS standards.
