CBAM & EU Compliance Consultant Sharvam Compliance

- Indian exporters already have CBAM exposure. Most simply do not know the size of it yet.

- Indian exporters shipping steel, aluminium, chemicals, fertilisers, and cement into the EU are already inside the CBAM transition period.

- The exporters who understand this are scrambling. The ones who do not yet understand it will be scrambling soon.

- Sharvam Compliance is building a national network of senior consultants who can walk into an exporter's boardroom, make the CBAM risk real in under 30 minutes, and convert that conversation into a paid mandate.

- We are not looking for job seekers. We are looking for operators.

What The Role Actually Is

You will work independently, backed by Sharvam Compliance's proprietary frameworks, sector playbooks, and technical delivery support.

Your job has three parts:

1. Open the door
Use your existing network export councils, trade bodies, manufacturer associations, CA firms, freight forwarders to identify exporters with live EU exposure. You already know these people. This is not cold calling. This is a conversation you are uniquely positioned to have.

2. Run the assessment
Conduct a CBAM readiness assessment. Walk the exporter through their current reporting status, embedded emissions gaps, declaration errors, and penalty exposure. Sharvam provides the framework. You provide the credibility and the relationship.

3. Close the mandate
Convert the assessment into an engagement. Mandate values range from 3L to 12L depending on exporter size, complexity, and scope. You earn 2030% of every mandate you bring and close.

What You Will Specifically Do

- Map your existing network for EU-exporting manufacturers and trading houses

- Initiate and lead CBAM awareness conversations with CFOs, MDs, and compliance heads

- Conduct structured CBAM gap assessments using Sharvam's proprietary toolkit

- Identify embedded emissions reporting gaps, declaration errors, and penalty risks

- Scope and price mandates in collaboration with the Sharvam core team

- Advise clients on EUDR compliance where supply chain traceability is an issue

- Guide clients on BRSR and broader ESG disclosure obligations where relevant

- Maintain and grow client relationships across the mandate lifecycle

- Represent Sharvam Compliance at export council events, trade body meetings, and industry forums where relevant

Who Will Succeed In This Role

- You have built something over your career. A network. A reputation. A track record of being the person exporters and manufacturers call when a regulatory problem becomes urgent.

- You understand how Indian export businesses make decisions. You know that the CFO needs a number and the MD needs a risk narrative. You can deliver both in the same meeting.

- You do not need a script. You need a mandate.

Specific backgrounds that translate directly:

- Consultants from EEPC, FIEO, APEDA, or sector-specific export promotion councils

- DGFT and customs compliance professionals with exporter clientele

- ESG and sustainability advisors already working with manufacturers or exporters

- Big 4 or mid-tier firm alumni from trade, indirect tax, or ESG practices

- Export finance and trade documentation specialists with senior exporter relationships

- Sustainability reporting consultants with BRSR, GRI, or CDP experience

- CA firm partners or senior managers with GST, customs, or export incentive practices

What Sharvam Compliance Brings To The Table

This is not a situation where you are sent into the field alone with a brochure.

- Proprietary CBAM assessment framework structured, sector-specific, ready to deploy

- Sector playbooks for steel, aluminium, chemicals, fertilisers, and cement

- Embedded emissions calculation tools calibrated for Indian manufacturing contexts

- Proposal and deal structuring support from the core team

- Back-end technical delivery on complex mandates so you focus on relationships and origination

- Co-delivery model on large or multi-site engagements

- Ongoing regulatory intelligence as CBAM obligations evolve through 2026 and beyond

You bring the network and the credibility. We bring the infrastructure and the delivery engine.

Earnings The Honest Picture

There is no fixed salary. No retainer. No base.

This is a commission-based engagement structured for senior professionals who back their own ability to open doors and close mandates.

Here is what the numbers look like in practice:

Mandate SizeYour Earnings (25% avg)

Small exporter (3L mandate)75,000

Mid-size exporter (6L mandate)1,50,000

Large exporter (12L mandate)3,00,000

Consultants closing 23 mandates per quarter are consistently earning 24L per month.

If you need a fixed salary to consider this, this role is not for you. If you have a network and you back yourself, the upside here is real.

Work Mode

Remote-first. You manage your own time, your own pipeline, and your own client relationships.

Client visits as required your network, your geography, your call.

No fixed office. No reporting hierarchy. No micromanagement.

What The First 30 Days Look Like

- Onboarding with Sharvam's CBAM framework and sector playbooks

- Joint assessment run with the core team on an early mandate so you see the full delivery model

- Identification of your top 10 network contacts with live EU exposure

- First independent client conversation within 3 weeks

One Honest Paragraph

CBAM is a ticking clock for Indian exporters. The window to position yourself as the person who helped them navigate it before penalties hit, before competitors move in, before the urgency becomes panic is right now. Sharvam Compliance is built to help senior operators monetise that window. If you have spent years building relationships in the export, trade, or ESG ecosystem and you are looking for a way to deploy that network with real commercial upside, this is worth a conversation.

To Apply

Tell us in 34 lines:

Which exporter relationships or export sector networks do you currently have where CBAM or EU compliance is a live or emerging concern?
