About the Role:

India's most reputed engineering & construction conglomerates is seeking an accomplished Project Head to lead large-scale construction projects end-to-end. The ideal candidate must bring a balanced profile: Project Head / project leadership experience (40%), Planning expertise (30%), and Construction / Execution Management experience (30%). The incumbent will drive the project from pre-planning through delivery, ensuring completion within time, cost, quality, and safety benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Project Head / Project Leadership (40%):

- Assume end-to-end ownership of the project - profitability, delivery timelines, client satisfaction, and team performance.

- Lead contract management, client negotiations, claims / variations, and statutory & regulatory compliance.

- Drive business outcomes: P&L accountability, cash-flow management, billing, and cost control at project level.

- Represent the company with clients, consultants, joint venture partners, and senior stakeholders.

- Build and lead high-performing site teams; manage appraisal, mentoring, and capability development.

- Ensure corporate governance standards, audit readiness, and adherence to Shapoorji Pallonji's values of integrity and engineering excellence.

B. Project Planning (30%):

- Develop and own the master project schedule (Level 1 / 2 / 3 plans), micro-plans, and look-ahead schedules.

- Drive planning tools such as Primavera P6 / MS Project; monitor progress against baselines and initiate recovery plans for delays.

- Coordinate resource planning - manpower, machinery, materials, and budget allocation.

- Conduct regular planning reviews; identify bottlenecks, critical paths, and risk mitigation strategies.

- Support projections, MIS reporting, and decision-making with accurate planning data.

C. Construction / Execution Management (30%):

- Lead site execution teams to deliver structural, finishing, and MEP works as per drawings, specifications, and timelines.

- Ensure safe, quality-driven construction practices; enforce HSE standards and statutory compliance.

- Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, and consultants for smooth execution.

- Control rework, material wastage, and productivity losses; drive cost-saving initiatives.

- Review daily / weekly progress, resolve site issues, and ensure timely commissioning / handover.

Desired Profile:

- B.E. / B.Tech (Civil) - ME / MBA preferred.

- 15 - 25 years in construction / EPC, including:

- 40% experience leading projects as Project Head / Project Manager

- 30% hands-on Planning experience

- 30% Construction / Site Execution management experience

- Proven track record of leading large, complex projects (buildings, infrastructure, industrial, or similar).

- Strong command over Primavera P6 / MS Project, planning methodologies, and contract management (FIDIC / CPWD).

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Willingness to be based at the project location.
