Job Title: Assistant Vice President/ Vice President Projects
Industry: Real Estate / Construction / Infrastructure

Reports To: Director Projects
Role Overview:
The AVP Projects will be responsible for planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple real estate projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use) from inception to completion. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, stakeholder management, and adherence to quality, cost, and timeline commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Drive end-to-end project lifecycle from concept design to handover.
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and statutory regulations.
Design & Coordination:
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure effective design and execution.
- Review technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications to ensure alignment with project goals.
Monitoring & Control:
- Establish robust monitoring systems to track project progress (time, cost, quality).
- Implement risk management strategies and ensure corrective actions are taken proactively.
- Conduct regular project review meetings with stakeholders.
Cost & Contract Management:
- Lead tendering, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations with contractors/vendors.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and ensure cost optimization.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and manage project teams to deliver high performance.
- Foster collaboration across departments (legal, finance, sales, and marketing) to ensure smooth project execution.
Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with statutory authorities, consultants, and government bodies for approvals and clearances.
- Ensure alignment of project objectives with business goals and customer satisfaction.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of construction technologies, project management methodologies, and real estate regulations.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale real estate projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts.
- Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and other project management tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.Tech / B.E. Civil Engineering (mandatory); M.Tech / MBA (preferred).
- 20+ years of experience in project management within the real estate/construction sector.
- Track record of successful delivery of residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
